Our Exo Crews Make Sure Montrealers Get To Work Each Day

Strathmore’s Exo snow removal teams are like ghosts in the night. No one ever see them. They work when most people are asleep.

Very few people know what our Exo crews do - or even who works on these crews - but they are an essential part of keeping Montreal’s Exo commuter train network running and making sure Montrealers get to work each day.

Our Exo crews are responsible for snow removal on the 13 Exo train stations between Lachine and Dorion. They work alongside the CP rail signalers, who tell our crew members when trains are coming as they clear the snow off the train platforms, stairs and walkways.

Working at Exo requires intense concentration, as our crew operate snow plows and tractors on narrow platforms at high speeds.

Here are some photos taken by Exo Supervisor Olivier Boniface at the Beaconsfield Exo station on January 23, 2002 at 3:00 AM.
