Our "Day's in the Field" program allows you to work in different areas of the company to increase your skills and find a career path that suits you best.

Strathmore offers eligible Quebec team member the chance to become certified Landscaping Workers by participating in our on-the-job training program called Le Programme d’apprentissage en milieu de travail (PAMT) or PAMT Workplace Apprenticeship Program.

This program, funded by the Quebec government, pairs experienced workers with less experienced co-workers, who pass on their skills and knowledge over two to three landscaping seasons.

Upon successful completion of the program, team members are awarded a Quebec certificate of professional qualification or attestation of skills.

After graduation, anyone wishing to further advance their skills can obtain Canada-wide certification through the Red Seal program.

Strathmore has partnered with the Ontario Apprenticeship Horticultural Technician Program because we know that "success depends on the quality of the workforce”.

It makes sense for us to invest in creating and sustaining a more skilled workforce that is competent and recognized. Apprentices not only learn skills in a classroom, but also get on­-the-­job training with their sponsor mentoring. This Program is a "Red Seal" Trade in Ontario, regulated by the Apprenticeship and Certification Act.

Upon successful completion of the program, team members are awarded both Ontario certification and Red Seal certification, the latter which is recognized Canada-wide.

Strathmore provides its team members opportunities for professional development, continuing education, and skills training. Full-time team members may be eligible for support to obtain training in related or complementary fields.
