Water Truck Driver

Strathmore’s water truck drivers drive a large truck with a mechanized arm. Our water truck drivers spend their days driving around, watering trees, gardens and large flower boxes for Strathmore clients. The work schedule is Monday to Friday. 


Responsibilities
 

  • Operate a water truck

  • Inspect vehicle before and after each shift

  • Load the truck with water using hoses

  • Operate mechanical arm and drive at the same time

  • Able to move around pumps and hoses

  • Drive on public roads while moving the water truck between sites

  • Ensures the safety of themselves as well as those around them

  • Communicate with the supervisor to declare issues 

  • Completer la documentation


For a perfect match

  • High school diploma

  • Class 3 driver license with air brake endorsement

  • One year of truck driving experience 

  • A driver license with a good driver record

  • Able to use and maintain all equipment safely and responsibly

  • Give and execute verbal instructions, read labels and signs, and complete daily reports for the office and clients

  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision and as a team

  • Knowledge of computers or smart phones

  • Speak French and/or English
